Yaamini is a passionate security professional and currently works for Dell Technologies as a Vulnerability Response Champion. With a Master's degree in cybersecurity from Johns Hopkins University, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her role. Throughout her academic journey at Johns Hopkins University, Yaamini's remarkable achievements were duly recognized with prestigious accolades, including the RSA Security Scholar, WiCyS Conference Student Scholar, and Black Hat Student Scholar awards. Yaamini's impact extends beyond her professional role; she is deeply involved in cybersecurity communities and conferences, where she actively networks with fellow professionals. Currently serving as the Vice President of Women In Cybersecurity, Austin. She also serves as an Event Organizer volunteer for Women In Cybersecurity, Colors of Inclusion chapter and as a Lead Events and Program Volunteer for Secure Diversity. In these roles, Yaamini devotes her time to organizing events and delivering talks aimed at promoting cybersecurity and fostering diversity within the field. Her primary focus is on advocating for gender equality in cybersecurity, recognizing the need for greater representation of women in the industry. Yaamini's commitment to education and mentorship is exemplary. She has mentored multiple students and professionals, guiding them in developing their careers in cybersecurity. Additionally, she has volunteered to present and educate professionals at various conferences, including Hack RedCon, Bsides Bloomington, CornCon, CyberCon, and many more.

Vulnerability Response Champion/ Software Engineer 2

Yaamini works for Dell Technologies as a Vulnerability Response Champion for VxRail and MCP, focuses on assessing the impact of vulnerabilities, providing remediation strategies, and actively working on mitigating these security weaknesses. Furthermore, she contributes to the dissemination of security advisories. She undertook threat modeling for the NIM Component. Additionally, she developed a security hardening tool for VxRail to align with DISA STIG standards, employing varoius scripting languages and validated its efficacy.

Security Research Scientist Intern

Yaamini interned as a Security Research Scientist at RSA Security, where she executed numerous SYN Flooding attacks using shell scripting and the hping tool. These attacks targeted the RISM agent to carry out a DOS attack on the IoT network. Also, she conducted packet capturing through tools like Wireshark and analyzed the packets to visualize the communication timeline between the gateway and the attacker, gaining insights into the behavior of the RISM agent during an attack.

Developed a Python-based hotel management application with integrated database management, emphasizing security protocols and validation. Conducted thorough code review and analysis. Established a virtual DNS server and executed diverse attacks such as DNS cache poisoning and Kaminsky attack using Netwox and Scapy. Captured and analyzed packets exchanged during the DNS attack process
